Thanks for the Party
Thanks to all the Hospitality Committee volunteers for their
hard work at the Potato Bar last Saturday. The next event is
scheduled for Friday, February 16 and will
feature Optimist Club Italian sausages.
The Green Valley Optimist Club supports children through grants
including four scholarships to the local high schools. Their
primary fund-raising activity is making and selling their famous sausage, and
catering a few events such as EE's February Hospitality event.
If you are interested in joining, you can attend a free
breakfast at the Arizona Family Restaurant on Esperanza Boulevard
on Tuesday the 16th at 7:00 AM. Contact Kevin
Welsh, Jim Copeland or Terry Shay if you want a ride to the
meeting.
Book Discussion Group Update
At the January meeting, the group revised its book list for
the remainder of the season. The new selections are:
Feb. 6 The Known World by Edward Jones
Mar. 6 Inside the O'Briens by Lisa Genova
April 3 The Long Haul by Finn Murphy
May 1 Hotel Paradise
The book group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 11 AM in
the Ramada. New members are always welcome.
Food Bank Donations
EE's generous donations to the Green Valley Food Bank at the
last Hospitality event are greatly appreciated. Thanks to Jane
and Eric Ellingson for delivering the donations to the
food bank. You can leave donations in the plastic bin in the
Ramada kitchen at any time.

lane (right lane closed) at various locations between
Esperanza Boulevard and Canoa Ranch Road from 6:30 AM,
